Shipping and Returns Policy

Shipping Policy

At JK Distributor and Security, we understand that timely delivery is critical for security and IT infrastructure projects. We are committed to getting your hardware to you safely, whether you are located in the heart of Srinagar or across India.
 
Order Processing Time 
In-Stock Items: All orders for items currently in our Srinagar warehouse are processed within 1–2 business days (Monday–Saturday).
Pre-Orders/Specialized Gear: For high-end enterprise hardware not currently in stock, processing may take 2-3  business days. Our team will provide a specific timeline upon order confirmation.  
Note: Orders are not processed or shipped on Sundays or regional public holidays.
 

Refund and Return Policy

At JK Distributor and Security, we take immense pride in the quality and authenticity of our hardware. Because we deal with specialized IT and security equipment, our return policy is designed to ensure technical integrity and customer satisfaction.

1. Mandatory Unboxing Video Requirement

To protect against transit damage or claims of missing items, an unboxing video is mandatory.

The Process: You must record a continuous, unedited video starting from the visible shipping label to the complete opening of the box and inspection of the product.

Why? This video serves as conclusive proof in the event of physical damage during shipping or a missing component.

Policy: Claims for physical damage or “item missing” will not be entertained without a clear, unedited unboxing video.

2. Return Eligibility Window

Defective/Damaged Items: Must be reported within 24–48 hours of delivery.

Unopened/Change of Mind: We accept returns for unopened, factory-sealed products within 7 days of delivery. A restocking fee may apply.

3. Non-Returnable Scenarios

We cannot accept returns or offer refunds if:

  • The product has been installed, mounted, or powered on (unless it is a confirmed manufacturing defect).
  • The original factory seal or packaging is torn, discarded, or defaced.
  • The product’s serial number does not match our distribution records.
  • The damage is caused by improper installation, power surges, or physical mishandling by the customer.

4. The Refund Process

Inspection: Once we receive the returned item at our Srinagar warehouse, our technical team  will inspect the hardware to ensure all internal components and seals are intact.

Approval: If approved, your refund will be processed to your original payment method within 3–4 business days.

Shipping Costs: Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to a confirmed shipping error on our part.

5. Warranty & Technical Support

Manufacturing Defects: For any technical issues occurring after the initial 48-hour window, the product falls under the Manufacturer’s Warranty (Hikvision, D-Link, or Geonix).

As an authorized distributor, we will assist you in facilitating the warranty claim with the brand for repair or replacement.
